Below is some information regarding our more general terms of business. It is your responsibility to ensure you comply with all our Terms and Conditions.

We need to see the following documentation at the time of hire:

Driving Licence

A current full driving licence must be produced by all hirers at the commencement of each and every hire. Hirers with a photo card driving licence must also produce the counterpart D740 (endorsement sheet), which forms part of the licence.

These are

  • You must have the appropriate driving licence category for the vehicle you wish to hire.
  • Category B for vans up to 3.5 tonnes GVW.
  • Category C1 for trucks between 3501kg and 7500kg GVW.

Two forms of identification.

These must be recent utility bills, bank or building society statements showing your current address. A passport is not acceptable as it does not contain your address.

Hiring Period

Office opening hours.
08:00hrs to 17:00hrs Monday - Friday, 08.00hrs to12.00hrs on Saturday. Our offices are closed on Public Holidays and Bank Holidays.

The hire period is 24 hour period from either 08.00 or 17.00.

Deposit

You will be asked to pay for your rental charge plus a refundable deposit which will be taken at the time of hire. Please make sure there is enough credit available on your card. All outstanding payments will be taken from the nominated card. The credit / debit card used for the deposit must be that if the hirer who signs and agrees to the terms of the rental agreement.

A £200.00 for PLG & £400 for HGV, refundable deposit is required in addition to the hire charge.

Availability

Whilst every effort will be made to supply the model requested, in the event of it being unavailable, an alternative model will be offered.

Daily Checks

The Hirer is responsible for checking water, oil levels and tyre pressures daily.

Vehicle Returns/Deposit Refunds

Return the vehicle to our depot, you will be met by someone who will check the vehicle for damage. Please make sure that vehicles are returned to us with the same amount of fuel as you began with, any fuel shortage will be charged for. You will be issued with a receipt to say that the vehicle has been returned in good condition and this will also indicate the additional charge you will have to pay for any fuel or damage. The office staff will then make any adjustment necessary to your deposit refund/final invoice.

Vehicles may be returned out of hours by prior arrangement with us, but will remain the responsibility of the hirer until the office next opens.
